School renovation passes with flying colors.

This charter school updated its look and feel of its building while increasing energy efficiency during a renovation that included Deceuninck windows.

  • Who: Deceuninck North America, PVC Industries Inc. and Sahl’s Glass & Glazing Inc.
  • What: Paterson, N.J. window-replacement project for Apple Education Services.
  • Why: To achieve greater energy efficiency and an updated look.
  • When: May 2014 to September 2014
  • Product: 400 Revolution Tilt & Turn window units.

Impressed with the performance of Revolution® Tilt & Turn windows at their Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School, Apple Education Services chose Revolution to update the look and feel of their Paterson, N.J., school.

Deceuninck fabricator PVC Industries of Clifton Park, N.Y. was chosen because of the great work they did on Apple Education’s Buffalo Academy job.

In the summer of 2014, Sahl’s Glass and Glazing of Whitesboro, N.Y. began a four-month-long window-replacement project at the charter school.

The Results

The project called for the installation of 400 separate window units throughout the building.

Sahl’s Glass and Glazing used Deceuninck’s Revolution Tilt & Turn for the project. The Revolution window created the optimal solution, because of its overall appearance, energy-savings and thermal-ventilation capabilities, all of which exceeded that of other aluminum window alternatives.

The Revolution window was also more cost-competitive than similar aluminum window options.
